The Film Effects Co Ltd (Filmfx) is a progressive, creative and full service special effects company with a reputation for providing the best special effects in New Zealand.
Launched in the early 1990’s to provide mechanical physical special effects (SPFX) to New Zealand film & television industry, our work includes feature films such as Krampus, The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, The Boogeyman, and The Piano, and effects intensive TV shows, including The Power Rangers, Xena: The Warrior Princess, Spartacus and Ash vs Evil Dead.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our processes, methodology and ability to deliver comprehensive special effects solutions, combined with our serious commitment to professionalism, detail and safety.
Based in Auckland, New Zealand, we have an office, administration team, and crew of contractors operating out of our Henderson workshop, enabling us to manage several SPFX projects simultaneously.

Loving a challenge, Brendon has a real focus on risk management, safety and the practicalities of achieving impressive in-camera SPFX outcomes, which synergise with CGI and meet production time frames.
